Art and the Border Part Deux
WE submitted some interesting questions to down on his luck owner of Galeria 609, the candid interview is raw, filled with pure energy and offers a glimpse on a sad man life and dilemma: ART IN BROWNSVILLE is it dead?
On a day like today, Dr Seuss left the building..
I had the opportunity to chatter up with an eight year old artist down in the Valley over the weekend, she enjoys drawing and sketching and helping others in her elementary located just steps away from the International Bridge, she submitted some of her sketches, but this one entitled "Woman" struck me as fancy and well done for a self taught little girl named Beata Yarritu that surprisingly so reminded me that "On September 24th, Dr Seuss, artist Thedor Seuss, left this world back in 1991...
Never forgotten Dr. Seuss, on a day like today in the year 1991, he passed away after a lengthy battle with throat cancer.
Descanse en Paz Dr. Seuss, you are still adored and remembered by your little fans in Brownsville, Texas.

Happy friday the 13th dear readers, we really enjoyed your stories, your input and comments. While were browsing thru our official FB page we noticed a hardcore reader and promoter of this blog upsetting a fellow political candidate of the city of Brownsville, Texas. Below is the whole story and the picture that sparked the feud but one does wonder:
Do people lie on purpose on FB because they feel they have too? I can ascertain that what this fellow fb chatter says is quite true: i have posted not so very flattering pictures of me and my siblings to only get 10 000 likes and comments of "how beautiful!!!, or " Ay Cositas". Second people on FB especially some hard headed women LOVE to get into a good fight and at the end of the day lack better judgement to see that his fellow in particular, that was and is a drummer for Freddy Fender is just making her mad on purpose and she is forgetting good manners, she is not committed to what she is preaching and she is the one in fact that just showed to all the viewers and readers of such fb post, that she lacks the class, the attitude and mental well being that any women can posses at that time of her life, oh and she completely fucked over the ARTIST of her photograph.
